Part-Time Operations & Production Assistant

We're looking for a passionate, values-driven Part-Time Production Assistant to help at our West Philly Studio!

Hours: 5 hrs/week
Rate:
 $20/hour
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Start Date: February 2026

Job Description:
We’re seeking a Production Assistant to support the creative and logistical flow of our garment-making process—from pattern drafting to mending magic. This role is ideal for a fashion student eager to deepen their skills in sustainable production, upcycling, and community-centered clothing care. You’ll work hands-on in our West Philly studio alongside designer Sarah Culbertson, helping turn art and intention into wearable pieces of healing.

Key Responsibilities:

Production & Pattern Work

  • Assist in developing garments, from cutting to final construction
  • Help modify, trace, and archive patterns
  • Maintain consistency and care in small-batch production

Supply Ordering & Studio Logistics

  • Track materials and manage inventory
  • Support ethical sourcing and studio organization

Mending & Tailoring (Client and Community)

  • Assist with repairs and alterations for client drop-offs
  • Prep and provide hands-on help during community mending and upcycling workshops
  • Occasionally check mending basket at Manzanita Vintage Fridays-Sundays

Qualifications:

  • Experience or coursework in fashion production, sewing, or tailoring
  • Familiarity with garment construction and patternmaking
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Passion for sustainability, circular fashion, and ethical garment creation
  • Comfort working in a creative, collaborative, and values-driven environment

Marketing & Social Media Intern

We're looking for a passionate, values-driven Marketing & Social Media Intern to help us grow our brand presence sustainably.

Location: Remote with possible occasional on-site content days in West Philadelphia (if local)
Hours: 10-15 hours per week
Rate: Unpaid/School Credit
Start Date: February 2026

Job Description:
We’re looking for a Marketing & Social Media Intern who loves storytelling just as much as scrolling. This role is perfect for someone who wants hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and visual branding within a mission-driven fashion studio. You’ll help us grow our online presence, share meaningful stories, and craft content that inspires a softer, more sustainable world.

This internship is for school credit, great for building a strong portfolio, and ideal for someone in school in the Philadelphia area who can occasionally come to the studio to capture photos and behind-the-scenes content.

Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management

  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and posting content across Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest
  • Help develop creative strategies that boost engagement and strengthen brand storytelling
  • Track insights and performance to inform future content

Content Creation

  • Capture photos and videos during occasional on-site sessions (if local)
  • Edit short-form videos and create graphics for social platforms
  • Support brand photoshoots when needed

Email & Blog Support

  • Draft and format newsletters in alignment with our brand voice
  • Research and write short blog posts for our “Behind the Seams” series
  • Assist with content audits to repurpose top-performing materials

General Creative Support

  • Brainstorm ideas for launches, campaigns, workshops, and community events
  • Assist with organizing digital assets for easy content creation

Qualifications:

  • Strong writing skills with an eye for storytelling and brand voice
  • Some experience with social media content creation (Reels, TikTok, carousels)
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar)
  • Photography or videography experience is a plus
  • Understanding of SEO, analytics, or email marketing tools is a bonus
  • Interest in sustainable fashion, ethical design, community healing, or art-driven branding
  • Highly motivated, organized, and excited to collaborate creatively
