🎨 Emotions in Color: Turning What You Feel Into What You Wear
Share
Some emotions sit in the chest like silence.
Others beg to be expressed—but don’t always have the words.
On October 12th, we’re gathering in Tremain Smith’s studio space to give those emotions a new language: color, wax, and cloth.
💫 What is Emotions in Color?
Co-hosted with Lauren Holland, intuitive and healing catalyst at Makaristic.com, this workshop blends mindfulness, creative ritual, and slow fashion into one unforgettable afternoon.
We begin with a guided meditation—designed to help you tune inward, soften your nervous system, and listen. From that stillness, we invite you to name the emotion you’re carrying. Not with a sentence. But with a symbol.
A shape.
A line.
A color.
A feeling that’s been waiting to be seen.
🎨 Then we make it visible.
You’ll paint your personal symbol onto a garment you bring (or a fabric panel we provide), using vibrant fabric paints or the ancient art of batik—applying melted beeswax to preserve parts of your design before dyeing, creating layered patterns and luminous textures.
No art or sewing experience needed. Just curiosity, presence, and something you’d like to make your own again.
Whether your piece becomes something to wear, hang, or hold, it will be yours—a reflection of feeling, process, and transformation.

✨ Why we’re doing this
We believe fashion can be a healing tool—not just something we wear, but something that wears us back.
When you give your feelings shape and color, they stop hiding. They become something beautiful you can carry forward.
This is slow fashion at its most personal. This is story as style.
