Why There’s No Black Friday Sale Here
Share
This year, you won’t see a Sarah Tremain Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale.
Not because I don’t want you to have beautiful pieces—
but because I want us to have better patterns.
We live in a culture that rewards urgency.
Buy now. Spend fast. Get more.
But what does that urgency cost us?
Cheap goods that fall apart.
Garments made in systems that exploit labor.
Guilt-driven gifting that leaves us feeling more empty than held.
I want something else—for all of us.
So instead of a flash sale, I’m offering:
- A holiday gifting guide rooted in meaning, not markdowns
- One-on-one custom support if you want help creating something personal
- The Cozy With Intention Bundle, made to soothe, not sell
- Mending Events in December to slow down and reflect
- A holiday party to come and enjoy and shop the studio inventory at 50% off so I can make room for new upcycled creations in 2026.
- Suggested small business shops like Trunc or Manzanita in Philly.
This isn’t a judgment of people who love deals.
It’s a practice in unlearning what capitalism taught us to value.
We don’t need to consume our way into connection.
We can repair. Reuse. Reimagine.
We can give less, but mean more.
