Emerging Panel Denim – Custom Add-On Panels
Send us your jeans. We’ll send you back a masterpiece.
Already have a pair of jeans you love (or one that's ready for a glow-up)? This made-to-order option lets you send in your own denim to be transformed with our signature Emerging panels—digitally printed with Tremain Smith’s painting What Is Emerging?
Each piece is upcycled and reimagined in our West Philly studio, creating a truly personal and one-of-a-kind garment. Choose your silhouette—flared or straight-leg panel—and we’ll take care of the rest.
How it works:
- Place your order and select your preferred panel style.
- Ship your jeans to us (instructions will be emailed after purchase).
- We’ll work our magic and return your newly transformed jeans within 4–6 weeks of receiving them.
Please Note:
Slight fading or wear is welcome—it adds to the story.
Shipping costs to send your jeans to us are not included.
Every stitch is done with care, every panel printed with purpose. This is more than denim, it’s a wearable collaboration.

How It Works
After placing your order, you’ll select your preferred panel style. We’ll email you instructions on how to ship your jeans to us. Once they arrive, we’ll begin the transformation process, with a turnaround time of about four to six weeks. Slight fading or wear is always welcome — it adds to the story. Please note that shipping costs to send your jeans to us are not included.
Why It Costs What it Does
Why It Costs What it Does
We believe in transparent pricing. Each transformation is calculated using the Sarah Tremain formula: raw materials and shipping costs, plus direct labor at forty-five dollars an hour, plus thirty-five percent for studio and administrative overhead, then multiplied by two to three to reach a retail price that sustains our small business. This reflects the actual cost of sustainable production while allowing us to continue paying fair wages and offering community-centered programming.
What Your Purchase Supports
What Your Purchase Supports
Every upcycled pair funds more than just fashion. Your order sustains our West Philly studio, supports living-wage work, and contributes to programs like Mend It Yourself workshops and Emotions in Color events, where we bring healing and creativity into community spaces.
