Product Story
Product Story
Every piece of clothing carries a story. Our mending services honor those stories by blending functionality and artistry — whether it’s a tonal repair that disappears into the fabric or a decorative mend that makes a statement. By repairing rather than replacing, you preserve both memories and materials, extending the life of what you already love.
How It Works
How It Works
Mending services are typically completed within two weeks of drop-off. You’ll select the repair you need from the options provided, or choose “Other” for custom requests. If your repair is unique or more complex, a twenty-five dollar deposit will apply toward the final cost. After your appointment, we’ll confirm the timeline and details before getting started.
Why It Costs What it Does
Why It Costs What it Does
We price transparently. Standard services are listed individually, while custom work is billed at forty-five dollars an hour, plus materials if needed. This ensures fair wages for skilled labor while keeping repairs accessible. The investment you make in mending sustains both your garments and our commitment to building a slower, more caring fashion system.
What Your Purchase Supports

By choosing mending, you’re investing in more than the life of a garment. You’re supporting our West Philly studio, sustaining fair-wage work, and fueling community events like Mend It Yourself workshops — where the skills of repair are shared, celebrated, and made accessible.
